  • Pathfinder was the best value

Purchased the 2019 Rock Creek SL 4WD with Premium Package. Traded in our 2015 Pathfinder SL which we really liked but had close to 90,000 miles on it. No problems with that vehicle at all. The 2019 version has alot more safety features vs. the 2015 model and we really like the Rock Creek look. The new model has a better ride, more power and they have improved the CVT. The seats are very comfortable for long trips with alot of cargo space (already drove it on a 1200 mile trip recently). The Pathfinder is bit dated (tech wise) when compared to newer KIA/Hyundai models (also drove the Pilot, Highlander and Explorer) but we drove them all and thought the Pathfinder was the best value.

  • A nice quiet comfy ride, but boring exterior

We just rented this car for 3 days, so have no input on reliability. Personally I think it is boring to look at. I think Nissan needs to return to the original roots of the Pathfinder. The CV trans takes some getting used to, but I didn’t care for it as it seemed to be constantly searching for the proper gear. Where this car excels is the interior. We drove it for 700 miles, and the comfort and quietness far exceeded what I expected! It is Cadillac quiet, and for that, kudos to Nissan
